Why “Becoming Hope”?

Why “Becoming Hope”?

My biological mother wanted to name me Hope.

But instead, she gave me up for adoption—believing what the world said instead of what Yahweh whispered: “Hope.”

She died long before I could ever ask her why.

I’ll never know exactly what she hoped for—how she envisioned my life turning out,
or what kind of woman she dreamed I would become.

But I know this much:
I didn’t live that life. Not even close.
And what I longed for most… was my mother to help me through it.

My story has been marked by deep sorrow, loss, abuse, and spiritual warfare—long before I even knew what those words meant. I have known trauma. Abandonment. Silence.
Darkness tried to write my story—but I’m here to testify, darkness doesn’t get the last word.
Yahweh made sure of that.

Through His mercy, I was found.
Through Yahushua, I was saved.
And through the love of my Father and the salvation of the cross, I am being restored, every single day.

Now, step by step, I’m becoming what I was always meant to be.

Becoming the hope she once whispered over me.
Becoming the proof that nothing is wasted.
Becoming the vessel of a child walking in love with her Father—The One who never left.

A name redeemed.
A life repurposed.
A testimony still unfolding.

This is Becoming Hope.

“Yahushua said to him, ‘I am the Way (haDerek), and the Truth (haEmet), and the Life (haChayim). No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father too. From now on you know Him, and have seen Him’”
— Yohanan (John) 14:6, TS2009

About Kimberly

I’m Kimberly Gutierrez, the founder of Becoming Hope—a space devoted to the Scriptures, the Good News, beauty, food and health —really everything that revolves around the bold truth of Yahweh’s Word.

For seven years, I owned and operated a boutique where I led every aspect of the business: creative direction, branding, website management, visual merchandising, product development, and client experience. Along the way, I had the privilege of working with other brands and businesses to help elevate their message and design—refining visual presence, curating collections, and crafting spaces that told a story.

But everything I’ve built—all the skill, vision, and creative insight—was given to me by the One who bestows every good and perfect gift. I create because Yahweh called me to, and every project begins with a simple prayer:
“How can this glorify Your Name?”

I’m here to serve Him, and those who follow Him.

Becoming Hope is more than a blog or a shop. It’s a sanctuary for the searching, a well for the weary, and a creative altar for those who long to see the sacred restored in our everyday lives.

Here you’ll find Bible studies, devotionals, handmade items, and art—each piece woven with intention, anchored in truth, and offered back to the One who gave it.

May Yahweh continue to bless you abundantly, in Yahushua ha’Mashiach’s Name, Amen.
