The Stone and the Song | Healing Through the Rejected Cornerstone

“The stone the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was from Yahweh—it is marvelous in our eyes.”
Tehillim (Psalm) 118:22–23, ISR

Healing is not just recovery.
It is realignment—a return to the foundation.
And that foundation is not made by man.
It is the Stone—the One the builders rejected.

The stone the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was from Yahweh—it is marvelous in our eyes.
— Psalm 118:22–23, ISR

Psalm 118:19–29 is the cry of someone who has been delivered and now approaches the gates of righteousness, not with pride, but with praise. It is the song of one who realizes that true healing only begins when we are bound to the altar and built on the Cornerstone.

Open to Me the Gates of Righteousness (Psalm 118:19–21)

“Open to me the gates of righteousness; I enter through them, I thank Yah.”
— Psalm 118:19

There is a gate—a narrow path through which only the righteous may enter (Isaiah 26:2, Revelation 22:14).
But righteousness does not come by health, knowledge, or self-cleansing. It comes by blood.

“This is the gate of Yahweh; the righteous enter through it.”
— Psalm 118:20

Yahushua said:

“I am the Door. If anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved...”
— John 10:9

To walk through the gate of righteousness is to walk through Yahushua—the living Door, the Way, the only path to healing and eternal life.

The Rejected Stone (Psalm 118:22–23)

“The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.”
— Psalm 118:22

This verse is quoted in Matthew 21:42, Mark 12:10, Luke 20:17, Acts 4:11, and 1 Peter 2:6–7—it is the prophetic identity of Yahushua.

The “builders” were the priests, the scribes, the religious elite.
They knew the Scriptures, but rejected the very Stone Yahweh had chosen.

And yet… Yahweh made that Stone the Cornerstone
The One who would bear the weight of the House.
The One on whom all healing, salvation, and righteousness would be built.

“See, I lay in Tsiyon a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious corner-stone, a firm foundation. He who believes shall not act hastily.”
— Isaiah 28:16

The Corner Stone

- James Tissot

This Is the Day (Psalm 118:24–25)

“This is the day Yahweh has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
— Psalm 118:24

This verse is often quoted cheerfully—but in the context of the psalm, it’s a day of salvation, a day of deliverance, a day when the rejected One is revealed as King.

And what follows?

“Hoshia na—Save us now, we pray, O Yahweh!”
— Psalm 118:25

The same cry from the beginning of the psalm returns—but now it's rooted in recognition.

Not just save me from trouble—
Save me through the Cornerstone.

This is the day Yahweh has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
— Psalm 118:24

Blessed Is He Who Comes (Psalm 118:26–27)

“Blessed is He who is coming in the Name of Yahweh!”
— Psalm 118:26

This was sung by the crowds as Yahushua entered Jerusalem (Matthew 21:9).
It is a coronation cry—but also a judgment cry. For Yahushua would say:

“You shall see Me no more until you say, ‘Blessed is He who is coming in the Name of Yahweh.’”
— Matthew 23:39

Only recognizing the rejected Stone brings healing.
Only those who bless Him in truth will enter the Kingdom.

Bind the Sacrifice (Psalm 118:27)

“Bind the festival offering with cords to the horns of the altar.”
— Psalm 118:27

This verse is deeply prophetic.
It is not just a picture of Passover sacrifice, but of Messiah Himself, bound and led to the altar of the cross.

“He was led as a lamb to the slaughter…”
— Isaiah 53:7

“This is My body, which is given for you.”
— Luke 22:19

To be healed, we must not only cry Hosanna—we must come to the altar.
We must be bound to the Lamb, surrendering our idols, our striving, and our flesh to be crucified with Him.

You Are My Elohim (Psalm 118:28–29)

“You are my Ěl, and I praise You… Give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good; His kindness is everlasting.”
— Psalm 118:28–29

This is not where the healing ends —this is where it begins; with praise!
Not with striving, but with surrender.
Not with man's wisdom, but Yahweh’s goodness.

This is marvelous in our eyes.
— Psalm 118:23

Healing in the Rejected Stone

The world will keep rejecting the Stone.
They will keep crying “Hosanna” without repentance.
But the remnant will rise up and say:

“This is marvelous in our eyes.”
— Psalm 118:23

Because to us, the Stone is not stumbling.
The Stone is strength.
The altar is not punishment—it’s the path to power.
And healing isn’t about avoiding pain—it’s about being rebuilt on the only foundation that lasts.
