Part 5: Voices in the Wilderness – The Rise of the Forerunners

INTRODUCTION

“A voice is crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way of יהוה; make straight in the desert a highway for our Elohim.’”
— Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 40:3, TSR2009

This verse wasn’t only about John the Baptizer.
It was about us.

Because the voice in the wilderness never left.
Yahweh is once again raising up forerunners—those who cry out in the dry places, tearing down lies, calling for repentance, and preparing the path for the return of the King.

We were never meant to fit in.
We were meant to make way.

The Forerunner Spirit Is Rising Again

Yoḥanan the Immerser came before Yahushua's first coming.
He was wild. Unfiltered. Burning with truth.

Now, in the last days, Yahweh is pouring out that same spirit again—on sons, daughters, prophets, watchmen, and wilderness voices.

You can feel it, can’t you?

  • The ache to speak truth, even if it costs everything

  • The fire that burns when others twist Scripture

  • The longing for purity, repentance, holiness

  • The urgency—because He is coming soon

“Indeed, Ěliyahu is coming first and shall restore all matters.”
— Mattithyahu (Matthew) 17:11, TSR2009

The spirit of Elijah is not about fame. It’s about fire.
Not about building platforms. It’s about repairing altars.

What Does a Forerunner Do?

A forerunner does exactly what Yoḥanan did:

  • Cries out against sin

  • Prepares hearts for the arrival of the King

  • Calls people back to covenant, obedience, and truth

  • Stands outside the system to speak against it

  • Points to Yahushua, not self

Forerunners are often misunderstood, rejected, mocked, and silenced.

But they speak anyway.
Because the wilderness is loud with truth.

You Were Born to Cry Out

“Before I formed you in the belly I knew you, and before you came out of the womb I did set you apart – I appointed you a prophet to nations.”
— Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 1:5, TSR2009

If your heart has been burning…
If you’ve felt rejected by religious systems…
If you’ve felt like a misfit in a world full of spiritual sleep…

You’re not broken. You’re being called.

You’re being marked by Yahweh to be a voice in the wilderness.
Not just to speak—but to make a way for the King to return.

ROOTED IN THE WORD

“Cry aloud, do not spare. Lift up your voice like the shophar! Declare to My people their transgression.” — Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 58:1, TSR2009
“Set the trumpet to your mouth!” — Hoshea (Hosea) 8:1
“Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.” — Ma‛asei (Acts) 5:20
“He must increase, but I must decrease.” — Yoḥanan (John) 3:30, TSR2009

G – Grounded in Scripture

Isaiah 40:3, Matthew 17:11, Jeremiah 1:5, John 3:30

R – Reflecting on Context

The wilderness cry isn’t new—it’s ancient. But it’s being reignited in our generation. Yahweh always sends a voice before He sends the fire. And now, that voice is rising in His remnant.

A – Applying to Your Life

Have I been afraid to speak up? Have I silenced the call inside me for the sake of comfort? Am I willing to become a forerunner for Yahushua, no matter the cost?

C – Communing with God

Yahweh, mark me with fire. Let my voice carry truth, not fear. Teach me how to cry aloud with love, boldness, and urgency. I surrender to the call.

E – Exalting God

You are the Coming King, Yahushua. Let my life be a trumpet in the wilderness, preparing the way for You. I lift my voice not for myself—but to exalt You before the nations.

PERSONAL DECLARATION

I am a voice in the wilderness.
I will not be silent.
I will cry out for truth, holiness, and repentance.
I reject the system that silences the prophets.
I follow Yahushua, the Lamb and the returning King.
Make way. Prepare. He is coming.
In Yahushua’s Name, Amein.
