Gehenna is more than a word for “hell.” It was a real valley outside Jerusalem where child sacrifices defiled Yahweh’s people. Prophets renamed it the Valley of Slaughter, and Yahushua used it to warn of eternal fire and final judgment. From Jeremiah’s curses to James’s warning about the tongue set on fire by Gehenna, Scripture paints a sobering picture: rebellion leads to destruction, but Yahushua is the Door to life.

Jeremiah wept—not just for the people, but for the pride that hardened them. He warned of stumbling in the dark, of seeking light but finding only gloom. And tragically, it happened. The flock of YHWH was taken into exile, scattered and lost, held captive by their own rebellion.

Fasting is often misunderstood. In our culture, it is frequently reduced to a dietary reset, a detox, or a self-improvement challenge. But in Scripture, fasting is something far greater—something sacred. Fasting is worship… A cry. A declaration. A hunger for His presence above all else.
